DUE TO ITS SECLUDED LOCATION, THIS CABIN IS ON ITS OWN WATER TANK, HEATING SYSTEM, AND SEPTIC SYSTEM. WE APPRECIATE ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE RENTERS WHO CONSERVE OUR VALUABLE RESOURCES.
Water conservation
We are a WATER conservation property. A 5,000 gallon tank on the premises provides the cabin its water and is filled by rainwater from a catchment system off the roof as well as by a water truck potable water service when necessary. A series of filters clean the rain and snow melt before it enters the water tank and again before it enters the house. In addition you’ll find a carbon filter on the kitchen sink. If you still are skeptical, feel free to bring your own bottled water.
Heating and cooling systems
The cabin is HEATED by 3 propane gas fireplaces. Again the propane is hauled by truck to the property. Additional standing heaters are provided for cold spells as well.
PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONERS in the 3 upstairs bedrooms provide cool summer nights. However, for most of the time, the cabin stays cool enough with just the air circulating through ceiling fans. At 7,500 ft. elevation, air conditioning should be only needed a few times a year (hot snaps) and only at night in the 3 bedrooms.

Trash and RECYCLING
TRASH is located at the bottom of the driveway in the dumpster so please take your trash down. There is no recycling pickup so if you are local, we would appreciate you taking your recyclables back with you if you live nearby.
